Terms of sale

This is a translation. The Norwegian version applies in case of conflict. Based on the Norwegian Consumer Authority's (Forbrukertilsynet) standard terms for consumer purchases of goods online.

1. The agreement

The agreement consists of these terms, the information you get in the ordering process and any specially agreed terms. In case of conflict, what is specially agreed takes precedence, as long as it does not conflict with mandatory law. The agreement is supplemented by the Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act (forbrukerkjøpsloven), the Cancellation Act (angrerettloven) and the E-commerce Act (ehandelsloven).

2. The parties

The seller is NORDAHL PostRetro (ENK), org. no. 936 693 369, Oterlia 35, 4956 Risør, Norway, email post@postretro.com ("seller"). The shop Motivtrykk is run by the seller. The buyer is the consumer placing the order ("you").

3. Prices

The price shown is the total price you pay, including shipping, which is shown before you pay. The seller is not VAT-registered, so no VAT is charged. There are no other fees.

4. Conclusion of the agreement

The agreement is binding once the order is sent. You get an order confirmation by email. Before you pay, you see the item, total price, delivery time and right of withdrawal together, and you must tick that you accept these terms.

5. Payment

You pay by card via Stripe. The amount is charged when you order, because the item is printed for you right away.

6. Delivery

The item is printed by our print partner and shipped directly to you. Delivery time depends on the destination and is shown at checkout before you pay. Delivery has taken place when you, or someone you appoint, has received the item. If collected at a pickup point, it is delivered when you have collected it.

7. Risk

The risk for the item passes to you when you have received it.

8. Right of withdrawal

You have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Norwegian Cancellation Act (angrerettloven), counted from the day you receive the item. Send a clear message to post@postretro.com, or use the standard withdrawal form (/legal/withdrawal-form.pdf). We refund no later than 14 days after receiving your message, but may wait until we have the item back or proof it has been sent. You pay the direct cost of returning the item. Exception: items made to your specifications (e.g. a print of your own uploaded image) have no right of withdrawal, cf. angrerettloven § 22 (c).

9. Delay and non-delivery

If the item does not arrive within the delivery time and this is not due to you, you may under chapter 5 of the Consumer Purchases Act (forbrukerkjøpsloven) withhold payment, demand delivery, cancel the agreement and claim damages. Claims must be made within a reasonable time. If you paid by card, you may also have a claim against the card issuer (Financial Contracts Act, finansavtaleloven).

10. Defects and complaints

If the item has a defect, tell us within a reasonable time after you discovered it. The limit is 2 years, or 5 years for items meant to last considerably longer (forbrukerkjøpsloven § 27). Send a photo of the defect to post@postretro.com. You may demand repair, a new item, a price reduction, cancellation and damages under chapter 6 of forbrukerkjøpsloven.

11. Seller's rights if you default

If you do not pay, the seller may cancel the agreement and claim interest under the Consumer Purchases Act. If you do not collect a parcel, we may charge the direct return shipping and reasonable handling costs. Such fees are not charged to minors.

12. Warranty

We give no warranty beyond your rights under the law.

13. Personal data

We never collect national ID numbers. How we use your data is described in the privacy policy. Newsletters are sent only if you have opted in.

14. Disputes

Complaints go first to post@postretro.com, and we try to find a solution with you. If that fails, you can contact the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet) for mediation. If mediation fails, the case can be brought before the Consumer Complaints Board (Forbrukerklageutvalget), and then the district court (tingretten).
